When I first spoke to Jamie, she was only in town for a few days to select vendors and do some wedding planning. (They actually live in North Carolina) During our little one-hour chat, I found out that Jamie is an art teacher- very cool and of course, an artist herself. And as soon as I mentioned, “Well, that photo looks so soft and creamy like a painting because it was shot on film”…Jamie got a little gleam in her eyes and said “ooooh, so cool- you shoot film!” (that was the point I thought- I gotta work with this bride! 🙂 well that and the fact that she had purple in her hair! ) Interesting how the love of art can spring an instant connection.
So after I heard that Jamie wanted to work with me, I was obviously super-excited! Since their reception is going to take place in Soulard, I thought it would be fun and fitting to their personalities to seek out interesting spots near and around the Soulard area. And these two were awesome- willing to go to some very non-traditional places with me for great shots (like behind an old factory and an abandoned school) and just had fun with it. Come to find out, Scott is an artist too- a singer-songwritier. 🙂 Very cool.
I cannot wait to see what the talented duo at Events Luxe does with the details of their day. I’m sure it will be gorgeous! So thankful they linked me up w/ Jamie & Scott.
