Elizabeth & Joe’s Wedding

Elizabeth and I go way back…to the summer before our 7th grade year, to be exact. I was the new kid, and in such a small town and school system, she was my designated buddy to show me the ropes and introduce people. I remember her saying something along the lines of “don’t worry, you’ll fit in and feel a part of our class in no time”…and she’s always been that sweet spirit at heart through all the years I’ve been around her. Let’s see, there were Dairy Queen runs jamming to Shania Twain on the way to gymnastics…and I got to hang out at her family farm, which I thought was pretty darn cool – unsupervised horse-back riding (sounded fun…then turned scary as my horse decided to gallop back to the barn! hah) and Elizabeth even driving us in a pick-up truck around the farm…which is I guess somewhat normal for country kids but I was thinking the whole time “our parents would kill us!” 🙂

So it was truly an honor when she reached out and asked me to shoot her wedding. It was wonderful after all these years to see so many people of the community that I knew all gathered in support of these two. Despite the scare of rain, the sun came out just in time for the ceremony, reception, and even an evening pool party. Such a fun and pretty day; and these two deserve it! Congrats, Elizabeth & Joe!
