Katie & Matt are those kind of people you instantly feel at ease with – so real, genuine, and sweet. It was such a pleasure to spend this day with them capturing their joy on their wedding day. Strathalbyn Farms was actually where Katie took horseback riding lessons as a little girl, so not only was it a spectacular choice of venue, but also personal to her as well. Nestled deep in the woods of the Missouri countryside, the main building is an old hunting lodge built around the an original old cabin structure and is filled with so many amazing antiques. Not to mention, it’s surrounded by horses, ponies, stables, pastures, a pond, a fire pit, lots of trees…and oh yes, and there was even an old-fashioned canon! And like right out of a fairy tale, Katie rode up a long shaded lane of overhanging old trees in horse-drawn carriage to their hilltop ceremony where Matt saw his beautiful wife-to-be for the first time that day. Such a beautiful day.
