Heidi & Josh Engaged

heidijosh_mobotgardens-22As I mentioned in the preview, it was 20 degrees the day of this shoot so we took advantage of two St. Louis gems where we could shoot mostly indoors. First was the Missouri Botanical Gardens – I couldn’t have ordered a more perfect setting (I think we saw two other visitors walk through the entire time we were there!) and it was like we had the place to ourselves. I knew when we walked into this Mediterranean paradise that all the greens and leafy texture was going to look amazing on film!

Heidi and Josh were troopers – the greenhouse was probably a ‘warm’ 55 degrees, but you can’t even tell they were chilly. I think it might be because they are so in love they didn’t care; I know it sounds sappy, but it’s true. These two have that sweet, innocent romance – just so excited to be engaged and enjoying this time in their lives…and I think it shines through in the pictures.

Our other stop for some indoor pics was the newly renovated Central Public Library downtown. It’s seriously amazing, people. If you haven’t gone, you must. Not only did they add on a modern addition with tons of natural light pouring in, but most importantly, they kept the integrity of the original building. The marble, the brass entry gates, the chandeliers, the old bulky solid wood tables and chairs…absolutely stunning. Such a fun shoot…so much better than some brown grass and dead trees! heidijosh_mobotgardens-8heidijosh_mobotgardens-7heidijosh_mobotgardens-25heidijosh_mobotgardens-6heidijosh_mobotgardens-5heidijosh_mobotgardens-26heidijosh_mobotgardens-9heidijosh_mobotgardens-16heidijosh_mobotgardens-2heidijosh_mobotgardens-18heidijosh_mobotgardens-21heidijosh_mobotgardens-24heidijosh_mobotgardens-23heidijosh_mobotgardens-19heidijosh_mobotgardens-17heidijosh_mobotgardens-1heidijosh_mobotgardens-14heidijosh_mobotgardens-13heidijosh_mobotgardens-11heidijosh_mobotgardens-12heidijosh_mobotgardens-10
